Honeycroft Crèche provides inclusive and stimulating play, learning and care for children from birth to two-and-a-half years. This service is for babies and toddlers of staff members and those of parents using our training.
Crèche is open 9am to 3pm on weekdays, 50 weeks a year. Children can be dropped us to us at 9am or 12pm. Collection times are 12pm and 3pm. We are closed on Bank Holidays and the first two weeks in August.
Children will have the opportunity to play with a large selection of toys and get involved in planned activities. A typical session will involve a 'hello' group time, free play, story time, art and craft, singing and a 'good bye.'
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, a framework for the provision of care and education. Its curriculum seeks to give children aged 0-5 the best start in life with a focus on six main areas of learning:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication, Language and Literacy
- Problem-Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Physical Development
- Creative Development
We have a multi-lingual team made up of both male and female staff that works together in a spirit of mutual respect and support to all.
We have a ratio of one adult to three children for children under two years old. Our ratio is one adult to four children for children aged between two and three. This enable us to support individual children and enable them to feel safe, secure and happy.
